Rest is ALMOST as good as sleep

June 26, 2018Linda AndersonBALANCE, FAMILY, FITNESS & WELLBEINGNo Commentsmeditation, self care, sleep

Motherhood. Sleep.  These things really don’t go together … ‘Sleep when your baby sleeps’ … I was never good at that … I remember when my first baby was born how I tussled within myself about my sleep deprivation. I struggled to simply be accepting of the relentless calls through the night. Fortunately I found…

March 14, 2018Linda AndersonME TIMENo Commentsintentions, me time, self care

Have you ever offered help to another Mum? I am sure you have. One thing I have noticed in my journey as a mother and life coach is how difficult it is for many mums to accept a gesture of help and support. It makes them uncomfortable to to receive support when they may not…

Do you feel heard?

March 2, 2018Linda AndersonBALANCE, FAMILYNo Commentsrelationships, self care, support

I had an interesting conversation last week with a woman I know. She is 32 weeks pregnant with her first child. When did I stop loving my body?

February 22, 2018Linda AndersonFITNESS & WELLBEINGNo Commentsbodyblossom, hiking, self care, self love

I have been thinking a bit about the idea of ‘Body Love’ since the weekend and how fully (or not) I love my body and how this impacts me. I was away for a few days with my family, to help celebrate my Dad’s 70th birthday. We did a short hike with the kids to…

Dear Jacinda I am an Aussie girl who these days is proud to call New Zealand home. As New Zealand is still new to me I don’t have a huge sense of investment in politics, who the Prime Minister is and so forth. But simply as a woman, and a mother of three daughters I…

I decided to write my ocean swim events on the kit I decided to write my ocean swim events on the kitchen chalkboard. Partly to remind myself that I need to do more training if I have any hope of swimming 3km+ in 6 weeks time and partly to make these events more visable for the family. Otherwise they will all act like they had no idea I am heading away for some of these!
