Hard to believe we have been home from our big hiking trip for 2 weeks and I have only just found the space to sit and write about it! My husband turned 50 earlier this year and as part of his β€œyear of 50” he wanted to walk one on the New Zealand Great Walks….

My 30 day personal challenge

April 4, 2018Linda AndersonBALANCE, FITNESS & WELLBEING, ME TIMENo Commentsbalance, fitness with kids, goal setting, intentions, me time, mums fitness, self care

Why is it so hard to let go of “doing”?

October 25, 2017Linda AndersonBALANCE, FAMILY, FITNESS & WELLBEING, ME TIMENo Commentsbalance, me time, self care, sleep

With my husband heading away for almost 3 weeks for work I vowed I would take good care of myself so that I could remain in good spirits with the kids during this time. Part of this was a commitment to get enough sleep – no TV, go to bed with a book, lights out…

I decided to write my ocean swim events on the kit I decided to write my ocean swim events on the kitchen chalkboard. Partly to remind myself that I need to do more training if I have any hope of swimming 3km+ in 6 weeks time and partly to make these events more visable for the family. Otherwise they will all act like they had no idea I am heading away for some of these!
