10 years ago today you arrived in this world 6 weeks before we expected to meet you. I remember that first night sitting by your humidcrib, in the wee hours of the morning, just holding your hand and wishing I could hold you close.
You probably don’t remember that when you were first born we called you BLOGA (Baby Linda or Geoff Anderson) which was how we had referred to you throughout my pregnancy. And yes, your sisters had “in the tummy” names too …
How these years have flown by. My how you have grown!
I love that you love being tall and athletic. My wish for you in coming years is that you always hold your head high and love the strong and beautiful body you have. It will take you on many grand adventures.
I love your kind heart, seeing you reach out to others who may feel left out, new, different or sad.
Your desire to learn, create and be your best will take you far in life. Don’t ever let anyone make you feel you can’t speak your thoughts or ask your questions.
I love the way you are willing to try anything, jump into the unknown and just give it all a go. Don’t ever stop being like this. Life is full of amazing experiences if you simply say ‘yes’ to them.
No matter how old (or young) you are I am always going to be your mum. Know that I will always be there for you. I will always support you, encourage you, challenge you. I will always be there when you need arms to hold you, someone to cheer you on or a safe place to cry.
Happy Birthday my darling girl. I love you x
